Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Joy Invite uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our platform. It complements our Privacy Policy and should be read alongside it.
For more information about how we process your personal data, please visit our Privacy Policy.
Separately from optional cookies and analytics, we receive limited first-party error diagnostics to keep the service reliable. See the Privacy Policy for the fields included and how these reports are handled.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They enable core features such as authentication, session management, CSRF protection, and guest template editor state persistence. Without these cookies, you cannot use the platform's key services.
Required for functionality| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| session_id | Maintains your active login session | Session |
| csrf_token | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
| guest_state | Preserves temporary editor canvas state for guests | Session |
| joy-tracking-consent (local storage) | Remembers your separate analytics and advertising choices and the notice version | Until you change your choice or clear browser storage |
| joy-purchase-withdrawals-v1 (local storage) | Retries withdrawal of queued purchase reporting after a failed connection | Until acknowledged by the server or the 8-day withdrawal window ends |
Preferences & Functionality
These cookies remember your choices and preferences, such as selected culture/language filter, editor audio mute settings, theme configurations, and display preferences. They enhance your user experience across visits.
Optional| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| culture_filter | Remembers your selected culture (e.g., Gujarati, Marathi) | 1 year |
| editor_audio_muted | Remembers whether editor audio is muted | 1 year |
| theme_preference | Stores your preferred light/dark theme | 1 year |
Performance & Analytics
When configured and enabled, Google Analytics and PostHog collect allowlisted usage events and page interactions after Analytics consent. PostHog session replays show rendered text on recorded pages, which may include names or invitation copy visible on screen. Form inputs remain masked; invitation artwork and photos are blocked, and recipient, payment receipt and renderer pages are not recorded. Signing in links events to an account using its internal identifier, role and account age; rendered page text may still contain names or invitation content. Microsoft Clarity may additionally record eligible public pages. Withdrawing Analytics consent stops future collection but does not remove recordings already collected. With your Analytics or Advertising choice, we remember the latest tagged campaign in this browser for seven days. Campaign fields identify the source, placement or medium, campaign, ad or content, and ad set or term. With Analytics consent, we attach these fields to usage events and confirmed purchases in PostHog. With Advertising consent, we can send confirmed purchases to Meta using its browser identifiers. Payment recovery can report a captured payment even after you close the browser. Delivery retries retain their original purchase identity and time for up to 24 hours; matching payloads are cleared after acknowledgement, withdrawal received by our server, or retry expiry. Minimal delivery records are removed after eight days. A withdrawal cannot retract information already sent or a request already in flight.
Optional| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique users for page load analysis | 2 years |
| ph_* (local storage) | Maintains a PostHog analytics session, anonymous until you sign in | Until withdrawal or browser storage is cleared |
| _clck, _clsk | Maintains consented Microsoft Clarity public-page sessions when configured | Managed by Microsoft Clarity |
| joy-campaign-v1 (local storage) | Latest consented campaign attribution | 7 days after the tagged visit |
| joy-purchase-consent-v1, joy-purchase-bypass-v1 (local storage) | Connects consented checkout delivery to withdrawal | Until your consent choice changes or browser storage is cleared |
Marketing & Promotion
After Advertising consent, our reviewed Google Tag Manager container can load Meta Pixel on eligible public pages and report confirmed purchases. When configured, our server also reports verified registration and checkout initiation using consented Meta browser identifiers, browser information and checkout amount/currency. We do not send account names, phone numbers, invitation content or private URLs in these server events. Meta Pixel stays off sign-in, editor and account pages. Automatic event detection and advanced matching are disabled in our integration. You can reject optional cookies or withdraw permission through Cookie settings on this page or in the footer without affecting checkout. Rejection stops future tracking and removes Meta cookies accessible to our website; it does not erase information already shared with Meta.
