We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, use our services, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

We collect information needed to create your invitations, including your name, email, phone number, wedding details, family information, photographs, uploaded patrikas, music, and other content you provide.

We may also collect account activity, device information, payment references, and basic usage data to operate and improve our services.

For service reliability, we also receive limited first-party error diagnostics when the app encounters a failure, even if you decline optional analytics. Reports include a controlled error category and type, operation category, broad page route, app release, HTTP status/method where relevant, and scrubbed app code locations. They do not include raw error messages, full URLs, request content, account identifiers, names, phone numbers, or invitation content. A keyed hash of the request IP is used briefly to rate-limit abuse; the key expires after 15 minutes and is not included in the diagnostic record. Reports are recorded in our API service logs under our server log retention settings.

If you opt in to Analytics, PostHog session replays show rendered text on the pages we record, which may include names or invitation copy visible on screen. Form inputs remain masked; invitation artwork and customer photos are blocked. Recipient, payment receipt and renderer pages are not recorded. You can withdraw Analytics consent in Cookie settings to stop future recordings; this does not remove recordings already collected.

With your Analytics or Advertising choice, we remember the latest tagged campaign in this browser for seven days. Campaign fields identify the source, placement or medium, campaign, ad or content, and ad set or term. With Analytics consent, we attach these fields to usage events and confirmed purchases in PostHog. With Advertising consent, we can send confirmed purchases to Meta using its browser identifiers. Payment recovery can report a captured payment even after you close the browser. Delivery retries retain their original purchase identity and time for up to 24 hours; matching payloads are cleared after acknowledgement, withdrawal received by our server, or retry expiry. Minimal delivery records are removed after eight days. A withdrawal cannot retract information already sent or a request already in flight.

Our AI Magic Scan processes uploaded wedding cards and patrikas to extract names, dates, venues, functions, and other invitation details.

Your information may be processed using authorised AI and technology service providers to deliver this feature. Please upload only information you have permission to use.

Your data helps us personalise invitations, save your edits, generate downloads, process payments, provide customer support, maintain security, and improve your experience.

We may also send important account or service updates. Promotional messages will follow applicable consent requirements.

You retain ownership of your original photographs, documents, and personal content. Joy Invite uses this content to provide the services you request.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share necessary data with trusted service providers, including hosting, payment, AI processing, analytics, and support partners, or when legally required.

Payments are handled through payment service providers. We may retain transaction references and billing records, but payment credentials are handled according to the payment provider's systems.

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data, although no online platform can guarantee complete security.

We may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, improve performance, understand website usage, and support marketing where permitted.

Invitations are made to be shared! When you download or share an invitation or publish an invitation link, its visible details may become accessible to recipients and anyone they share it with.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information and withdraw consent where applicable by contacting us.

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for our services, security, transactions, and legal obligations. Some records may need to be retained as required by law.

Accounts must be owned by an adult. Anyone under 18 may use the service through a parent or lawful guardian’s account; that adult accepts the terms and is responsible for supervising use. Uploading a child’s photograph or details also requires the appropriate permissions and any parental consent required by applicable law.

For new signups, we record the Terms and Privacy Policy versions shown, the affirmative acceptance notice, the adult account-holder confirmation, the server submission time and, after successful phone verification, the verification time. These records help us demonstrate the agreement made and handle account or legal disputes. A pending signup is distinguished from a phone-verified account.

Agreeing to the Terms does not enable optional analytics, advertising or promotional communications. You can manage optional analytics and advertising separately through Cookie settings. An acknowledgement of this Privacy Policy is not blanket consent to every possible use of personal data.

Requests concerning these records may be sent to support@joyinvite.com. Records needed for transactions, security, disputes or legal obligations may be retained after account closure only where justified under applicable law; closing an account does not automatically remove every retained record.

We may update this policy as our platform grows or legal requirements change. Important changes will be communicated where required.
